Dr. Ravi Singh is Distinguished Scientist and
Head of CIMMYT’s International Wheat Improvement Program. He has contributed to
the development of more than 680 wheat varieties released by National program
partners in 48 countries. Dr. Singh
has authored or coauthored over 350 refereed journal articles and is amongst
the top 1% highly cited researcher since 2017 according to Clarivate
Analytics-Web of Science. Dr. Singh is Fellows of American Association for the
Advancement of Science (AAAS), American Phytopathological Society (APS), Crop
Science Society of America (CSSA), American Society of Agronomy (ASA) and National
Academy of Agricultural Science (NAAS, India); and is recipient of Outstanding
CGIAR Scientist Award, Crop Science Research Award by CSSA, E.C. Stakman Award
by Univ. of Minnesota, Friendship Award by the China State Council, PBSA Award
from the President of India, among others; and is Adjunct Professor at Cornell
University and Kansas State University.
