Nicole Pretini is Argentinean. Graduated as a geneticist at the National University of Northwest Buenos Aires Province and obtained her PhD in Agricultural Sciences at the Buenos Aires University. Her studies are focused on the improvement of wheat fertility through the application of molecular markers. Nicole published articles in international journals and did an internship at the Resources for Wheat Genetics and Improvement Laboratory at the University of California, Davis. Nicole is a postdoctoral student and Researcher of the National Scientific and Technical Research Council and the National Institute of Agricultural Technology of Argentina.
