Miss DENG received her master’s degree from the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and now pursuing her Ph.D. degree at The University of Hong Kong (HKU). She focuses on etiological exploration considering environmental aspects of endemic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma in North China, supervised by Prof. TIAN Linwei (HKU) and Prof. LIU Qian (CAS). Her research team is trying to identify key risk factors in North China, where bears the highest esophageal squamous cell carcinoma burden worldwide, would promote local intervention policies and gain insights into related carcinogenesis mechanisms. Miss Deng has published two first-author papers in Environmental Pollution (IF=9.9) and Science of The Total Environment (IF=10.7).
