Marco Maccaferri is a Faculty of University of Bologna, with a major in Plant Breeding and a PhD in Seed Science and Technology at University of Turin, Italy. His research area includes genetics and genomics of cereals and their response to abiotic and biotic stress, in particular in durum wheat. In the last five years, he has been engaged in developing genomics resources for durum wheat such as the Svevo durum wheat genome assembly and the Global Durum Genomic Resource.
